Terry Cuypers

Terry Cuypers, 64, Colorado Springs, CO died at Terrace Gardens Health Care Center on Monday, December 21, 2009.

Terry Allen Cuypers was born April 25, 1945 at Edgeley, ND the son of Leonard and Florence (Kauffman) Cuypers. He grew up on a farm Northwest of Dickey, ND, graduating from Dickey High School in 1963. Terry was in the Air Force from 1963-1967, attaining the rank of Sergeant. Following his service, Terry farmed in North Dakota and constructed many homes, hotels and other establishments in many different states with his skills of sheet rocking, and framing. Terry returned to Dickey in 1974 to raise his children. In 1994, he moved to Colorado Springs where he purchased a home, continued his construction skills and found a fellowship of friends who have cared deeply for him.

Terry's joys in life were his Grandchildren, his love of golf, and his avid love of sports which included attending events such as the Colorado Rockies Baseball games, The Colorado College Tiger's Hockey Games and rooting for the Minnesota Vikings.

Survivors include his 3 children, Tonya Cuypers of Perris, CA, Eric (Sandy) Cuypers of Vancouver, WA and their Children, Rebecca, Cole and Conner and Bobbi Jo Cuypers of Hillsboro, ND and brothers Richard (Andrea) Cuypers, Susanville, CA and Douglas Cuypers, Souix Falls, SD. He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 daughter, Tamra Dee Cuypers.

Funeral Service: 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 31, 2009 at Lisko Funeral Chapel, Jamestown, ND.

Visitation: 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Lisko Funeral Chapel, Jamestown, ND

Interment: Dickey Cemetery, Dickey, ND.
