Terry J Williams

August 25, 1980 — May 5, 2022

Terry J. Williams passed away at the age of 41 in the early morning hours of Thursday, May 5, 2022 at the University of Illinois Hospital, Chicago, IL after a long illness.

Terry Jon was born August 25, 1980, in Jamestown, ND, the youngest son of Ernie E. and Mona (Berge) Williams. Terry was a kind, gentile, energetic, and passionate person who loved spending time with family, friends, and especially animals. He grew up on the family farm south of Cleveland, ND where he cared for his horses Jewel, Sugar and Eddie.  Terry was active in 4-H and developed his riding and training skills with Paint horses, competing in Western Pleasure, trail, showmanship, halter, horsemanship, barrel racing, and English riding.  He graduated from Gackle-Streeter High School and Jamestown College, now University of Jamestown where he was active in the theater, music, and developed life-long friendships.  Terry moved to Chantilly, VA where his talents as a gymnastics coach at Chantilly Academy Gymnastics with Anne Foster helped countless children develop their passion for the sport.  His attention to detail led him to become a sought after gymnastics judge all over the country.  Terry moved to Chicago about 8 years ago with his best friend, Ryan Morehouse and coached for IK Gymnastics.  They enjoyed domestic and international travel and experienced many amazing cultures.  Anywhere he was in the world, Terry always enjoyed his sweets - chocolate most affectionately.

Glad to have been part of his life are Ryan Morehouse; Ernie Williams & Shonda Henry; Michael & Heidi Williams; Jeremy Williams and Asher Williams; aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Inspiring him in life and preceding him in death were Mona, Curran & Ruby Berge, and Bob & Mae Williams.
