Thea Wagner, 84, of Jamestown, ND, passed away Tuesday evening, November 27, 2018 at Edgewood, Jamestown.
Theadora C. Wagner was born on Christmas Day, December 25, 1933 in Jamestown, the daughter of Jacob W. Wagner, Sr. and Mary Rose (Plinski) Wagner. She graduated from St. John’s Academy in 1952 and was a student of music. Thea studied the organ under Monsignor Alan Nilles and played for many weddings, funerals, Masses, and other events until her health declined. She worked at Trinity Hospital, Jamestown as a secretary until it closed. Thea then became a secretary for the City of Jamestown, working for many mayors until her retirement. Thea’s faith was the center of her life, and she attended Mass daily, as well as led the rosary at Eventide Nursing Home until she was no longer able to do so. She loved to read and listen to music. She was very kind, generous and giving. She lived with and took care of her father until he entered the nursing home.
Thea is survived by her brother, Jacob W. “Jay” Wagner, Jr., Jamestown; sisters, Mary T. Steele, Jamestown and Elizabeth Case, Vacaville, CA; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Rita Moser; brothers-in-law, Bob Simmons, Delbert Steele, Roy Case, and Adolph Moser; sister-in-law, Beverly (Klose) Wagner; and nephews, Mark, Robert, and Guy.
Mass of Christian Burial: 10:30 a.m., Monday, December 3, 2018 at St. James Basilica, Jamestown.
Visitation: 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, December 2, 2018 at Williams Funeral Home, Jamestown.
Rosary: 7:00 p.m., Sunday, December 2, 2018 at Williams Funeral Home, Jamestown, with a vigil service to follow at 7:30 p.m.
Interment: Calvary Cemetery, Jamestown.
