Theodore Trowbridge

Theodore ""Ted"" Trowbridge, 84, Jamestown, North Dakota died Wednesday, August 23, 2006 at Jamestown Hospital in Jamestown.

Mr. Trowbridge was born May 3, 1922 in Jamestown, the son of William Henry and Leah Faye (Brown) Trowbridge. He grew up and attended school in Montpelier, North Dakota. He graduated as Valedictorian from Montpelier High School in 1940. On September 4, 1942, he entered the US Army and served in the European African Middle Eastern Theater during World War II. He was honorably discharged on February 16, 1946 at Camp McCoy, WI. Ted graduated from Jamestown College with a business degree and taught for many, many years in the business department at Jamestown High School.

He was an avid sports fan and followed the Minnesota Twins, Jamestown Blue Jays and Jamestown College Jimmies. He was an active member of the United Presbyterian Church in Jamestown, where he served in the Stephen Ministries program.

Mr. Trowbridge is survived by many friends and the students that he touched throughout his teaching career.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Chester and one sister Leola Trowbridge.

Funeral Service: 10:30 AM, Monday, August 28, 2006 at the United Presbyterian Church, Jamestown with Pastor David Thompson officiating.

Visitation: 3:00 to 7:00 PM, Sunday, August 27, 2006 at the Eddy Funeral Home in Jamestown.

Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown, North Dakota.
