Theodore Weisser

Theodore “Ted” Weisser, 94, of Bismarck, ND, formerly of Jamestown, ND, passed away Monday night, September 21, 2020 at Sanford Health, Bismarck, ND.

Theodore Weisser was born in Bernstad, ND to John J. and Amelia (Shock) Weisser on July 12, 1926. He went to school in Lehr, ND and in 1945 he moved to Verona, ND. Ted worked on the farm with his parents for some years and was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Jamestown. He was inducted into the US Marines in May 1952 and discharged in August 1952. In 1953, Ted moved to Jamestown where he met Leona Moos and were married on October 30, 1953. He worked for various road construction companies until he had to retire due to disability.

Ted always enjoyed when his grandchildren and great-grandchildren came to visit.

He is survived by his wife, Leona Weisser; daughter, Joann Olson; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

Ted was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Lorraine Rains.

Visitation: 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Thursday, September 24, 2020 at Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown.

Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 25, 2020 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Jamestown, with Pastor Erik Weber officiating.

Burial: Highland Home Cemetery , Jamestown, North Dakota.
