Thomas N. Schlecht

Thomas Schlecht, 42, Long Beach, California died Sunday, November 3, 2002 after a year long battle with cancer.

Thomas Neil Schlecht was born December 21, 1959 at Kensal, N.D., the son of Donald C. and Phyllis I. (Florhaug) Schlecht. He grew up and was educated in Wimbledon graduating from Wimbledon High School in 1978. Tom went in the United States Army in August 1978 and was stationed in Korea for 1 year as a Military Police. He was discharged on August 29, 1981.

Tom married Gloria Love on April 22, 1989. They lived in Long Beach, California, where Tom was employed at JBT Sprinklers in Anaheim, CA from 1991 to 2002.

Tom is survived by his wife, Gloria; two step children, Cindy and Doug; six grandchildren, Christopher, Corey, Elizabeth, Hannah, Mary Francis, and Daphnie, whom he thoroughly enjoyed; his mother and father, Phyllis and Donald Schlecht; two sisters, Deb Oakley; Dayton, OH; Kay (Rick) Albrecht, Wimbledon, N.D.; seven brothers, Dan (Marion) Schlecht, of Parker, AZ; Pat (Cathy) Schlecht, Bouse, AZ; Russ (Carol) Schlecht, Lincoln, N.D.; John (Diane) Schlecht, St. Cloud, MN; Mark (Ameta) Schlecht, Jamestown, N.D.; Tim Schlecht, Wimbledon, N.D.; and Jaime (Rosie) Schlecht, Wimbledon, N.D.

Memorial Service: 10:30 A.M. - Saturday, November 16, 2002 at St. Boniface Catholic Church - Wimbledon, N.D., with Father Steven Meyer officiating.
