Tyler Alan Eissinger

December 29, 1970 — February 22, 2018

It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of Tyler Eissinger. After a long battle with health problems, Tyler passed away on February 22, 2018 at the age of 47, surrounded by family and friends at Sanford Hospital in Fargo.

Tyler was born on December 29, 1970 – the youngest of seven children – and was raised on the family farm in Medina, ND. He graduated Medina High School in 1989, and joined the NAVY. Upon leaving that, he returned to Medina.

In 1992, he met Brandi and they were married in August of 1993. He had a few farm jobs until his health problems forced him to become a stay-at-home dad. This was the best job he had, and he took great pride in helping raise their children.

Tyler is survived by his six children – Cassandra (Sean), Alexander, Caitlin, Danielle, Jacen, and Ryan; his wife Brandi; a grandson Colin; his mother Sandra; six siblings – Paul (Deb), Tim (Becky), Tom (Jodi), Tracy, Terry (Karla), and Tamara (Reed); as well as several nieces and nephews and dear friends.

While he will be greatly missed, we know he has moved to a greater place to be with those who preceded him in death, in particular his father Gerald, and grandparents Adolph and Barbara Eissinger, Geneva and Wayne Smith, and Eldon Keiser.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., followed by the funeral at 1 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 27, at Eddy Funeral Home in Jamestown, N.D. Burial will be in Medina Cemetery following the service.
