Vera F. Fletcher, 80, Courtenay, North Dakota died Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at Ave Maria Village in Jamestown.
Vera F. Nutt was born June 5, 1930 in Wimbledon, the daughter of William and Gladys (Bartlett) Nutt. She attended grade school in Durham township and graduated from Fargo Central High in 1948. She was confirmed in the Lutheran faith in 1945 at Grace Lutheran Church and also worked as church secretary for 4 years before moving to Minneapolis, MN. On February 28, 1959 Vera married Richard Fletcher at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Wimbledon. They had one daughter, Renee. She and Richard resided and farmed in Corrine Township all her life.
Vera enjoyed planting her flower gardens and loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Vera is survived by her husband, Richard, Courtenay, ND; daughter and son-in-law, Renee and Wayne Christ, Dazey, ND; three grandsons, Adam Christ, Bismarck, ND, Brandon Christ (Sarah Omdahl), Fargo, ND and Cody Christ, Dazey, ND; one brother, William (Jo) Nutt, Valparaiso, IN; sister-in-law, Sylvia Nutt, Jamestown; brother-in-law, Arthur Mahler, Breckenridge, MN; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers, Albert and Raymond (Vera's twin) and two sisters, Shirley Mahler and Mildred Tischer.
