Verlyn Erna Benson

Verlyn Erna Benson, 93, Jamestown, North Dakota was taken to the Lord on Tuesday, March 2, 2021.

Verlyn Buetow was born July 15, 1927 in Jamestown the daughter of Adolph and Lydia (Ludwig) Buetow. Verlyn married Burton Benson on June 29, 1947 in Eldridge, North Dakota. Burton died on December 31, 2015.

Verlyn enjoyed reading, auctioning, bible studies and baking. She was also very excited about getting to have five generation pictures taken with her great-great grandchildren.

Verlyn is survived by four children, Sharon Greenstein, Jamestown, ND, David Benson, Amarillo, TX, Bradly Benson, Jamestown, ND and Larry Benson, Jamestown, ND; eight grandchildren, Tina (Justin) Simmons, Jamestown, ND, Cory Schmidt, Jamestown, ND, Sherry (Adam) Jipson, Graceville, MN, Josh Benson, Fargo, ND, Andrew (Maria, fiancé) Benson, Jamestown, ND, Brian Benson, Jamestown, ND, Jenny Benson, Jamestown, ND and Amanda Benson, Jamestown, ND; 16 great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three children, Audrey, Lori, Jeffery, her husband, parents, one sister Iris and three brothers, Glenn, Stanley and Maylen.

A family graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM, Friday, March 12, 2021 at Highland Home Cemetery.
