Violet Ellen Borg

Violet Borg, 88, of Jamestown, ND, died Saturday, February 4, 2006 at Hi-Acres Manor Nursing Home, Jamestown, ND.

Violet Ellen Sisk was born August 12, 1917 in Wimbledon, ND, the daughter of Thomas and Mary (Florin) Sisk. She grew up in Wimbledon and graduated from Wimbledon High School. Violet married Harold Borg on November 11, 1953 in Valley City, ND. They made their home in Jamestown where she provided daycare and was an Avon Lady. Violet worked for the Star theater, Cinema Twin theaters, The Showcase, and distributed samples at Leevers Super Valu. Harold died on August 16, 1987.

Violet was a member of the Prairie Community Church, Jamestown. She enjoyed painting, crafts, card playing, reading, bingo, puzzles, traveling and watching Wheel of Fortune.

She is survived by son, Don (Marcy) Thurlow, Edgeley, ND; son, Tim (Dorise) Borg, Eugene, OR; son, Tom Borg, Junction City, OR; daughter, Sue (Alan Carlson) Borg, Jamestown; 10 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, two sons, Gary Kyseth and Ronnie Kyseth, parents, three sisters and one brother.

Funeral Service: 1:30PM, Wednesday, February 8, 2006 at the Eddy Funeral Chapel, Jamestown with Rev. Herb Flitton officiating.

Visitation: Tuesday, February 7, 2006 from 1:00PM to 8:00PM at the Eddy Funeral Home.

Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown, North Dakota.
