Violet King

Violet R. King, 86, of Fort Collins, CO, died on March 28, 2007 at cliffview Assisted Living in Kremmling, CO.
Violet Bollinger was born at Merricourt, ND in 1921, the daughter of Jacob and Lydia (Doktor) Bollinger. She married Arthur King on September 23, 1939. They farmed near Merricourt, ND for many years and owned and operated the Bowling Alley in Edgeley for 7 years before moving to CO. Art died in 1988. Violet lived in North Dakota for over 50 years before moving to Larimer County, near Fort Collins, CO where she resided for over 30 years. She worked for Hewlett Packard Company for 7 years prior to her retirement. Violet was a loving mother, grandmother and homemaker.
Survivors include her son Wayne King, Fort Collins, CO; a daughter Vernetta Tupa, Granby, CO; a brother Irvin Bollinger, CA; sisters Pearl Birge, Florida, Ella Morrow, Kansas and Marlene Jeffcoat, CA; and 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and her brother Martin and sister Edna.
Memorial Service: 12:00 noon, Tuesday, July 10, 2007 at Lisko Funeral Chapel, Edgeley, ND.
Visitation: 11:00 a.m. to noon Tuesday at the funeral chapel.
Interment: Mount Hope Cemetery, Edgeley, ND
