Violet B. Wallner, 87, Jamestown, North Dakota died Sunday, February 29, 2004 at Jamestown Hospital, Jamestown.
Violet (Bygie) was born in Crystal Springs, ND the daughter of Henry and Bertha (Schneider) Giesler on December 21, 1916. She married Harold R. Wallner on June 17, 1935 in Tappen. They herded sheep in the Crystal Springs area and raised cattle in Tappen until they moved to Jamestown in 1968. She was employed by Central Dakota Nursing Home until 2001. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Tappen and James Valley Lutheran of Jamestown and Valley City.
Violet is survived by her two daughters, Judy (John) Kroke of Owatonna, MN and Cora (Dennis) Duin of Louisville, NE; five grandchildren, Rennda, Ryan, Tana, Nathan and Darin; eleven great-grandchilden; one great-great-grandchild and a sister-in-law, Idella Billington of Jamestown, ND.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Harold, one brother, Arthur Giesler and a sister, Ruth Nissen.
Funeral Service: 11:00 AM, Wednesday, March 3, 2004 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Tappen, ND.
Visitation: 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Tuesday, March 2, 2004 at Eddy Funeral Home and one hour before the service at the church.
Burial: Fisher Cemetery, Tappen, North Dakota.
