Violet Zimmer

Violet was born May 22, 1937, in Napoleon, ND, to George and Magdalena (Kapp) Miller. On June 2, 1957, she married Donald Zimmer. Violet worked by her husband's side on a dairy farm. She was a past member of REA and ADA and for many years was the treasurer of the Farmers Union, 4H Leader and a Girl Scout Leader. In her younger years, she was very active in a bowling league. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting and had vegetable and flower gardens.
Violet is survived by her husband Donald of Clarissa; children: Dale (Michelle) Zimmer of Albany, Terry (Donna) Zimmer of Nelson, Glenn (Tara Gamboa) Zimmer of Miles City, MT, Gerald (Barb) Zimmer of Clarissa, Robin (David) Zimmer-Gilman of Big Lake; 10 grandchildren and siblings: LeRoy (Marlys) Miller of Circle Pines, and Edna Meidinger of Miles City, MT. Violet is preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Adaline Zimmer, Clarinda Gumke and Erwin Miller.

Funeral Service: 4:00 PM, Friday, April 1 at Iten Funeral Home, Browerville, MN.
Burial: Highland Home Cemetery.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Highland Home Cemetery in Jamestown, ND. Family will be receiving friends from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the Eddy Funeral Home.
