Virgil Kramlich, 63, Medina, North Dakota died Saturday, March 22, 2008 at Medcenter One Hospital, Bismarck, North Dakota.

Virgil Kramlich was born April 12, 1944 in Tappen, North Dakota, the son of Reinhold and Emma (Mittleider) Kramlich. He was raised on a farm and attended school at Crystal Springs, North Dakota. He entered the U.S. Army in March 1963 and was honorably discharged in February 1965. He married Phyllis Ann Hoff on March 26, 1966 in Tappen, ND. They lived in Tappen, ND, Burley, ID, and Medina during their years of marriage. Virgil was employed at various farms in Crystal Springs, Tappen and Medina, the railroad in Bismarck, and as manager at Cenex in Medina from 1968 to 1970. In 1971, they moved to their farm where they had a milking operation until 1986. They then started processing meat in their home. Their business moved to Medina in 1990 when they bought the locker plant. They purchased another building for retail meat sales and bakery and later built a greenhouse. They had a very successful business with customers from all over the state and out of state. They made many good friends during their time in business. The locker was closed in February 2008 due to retirement. Virgil was a member of the American Legion. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, country music, gardening and most of all spending time with his grandchildren.

Virgil is survived by his wife, Phyllis, Medina; two sons, Mike Kramlich and Myron Kramlich, both of Medina; daughter, Melinda Kramlich, Medina; 4 grandchildren, Cole Roemmich, Desiree Kramlich, Kaitlyn Dehne, and Adam Dehne; 3 step-grandchildren, Chad Williams, Jessica Williams, and Stephanie Kuhn; 1 step great-grandchild; 4 sisters, Esther (Bob) Teske, Garland, TX, Verna Paddock, Denver, CO, Viona Stoppleworth, Jamestown, and Diane Hieb, Medina; 4 brothers, Raymond (Jeanette), Crystal Springs, ND, Leroy (Wanda), Ypsilanti, ND, Donald (Roberta), Jamestown, and Randy (June), Bismarck, ND; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister; one brother; three nephews; one niece; five brothers-in-law; one sister-in-law; and father and mother-in-law.

Funeral Service: 10:30AM, Thursday, March 27, 2008 at Medina City Auditorium, Medina, ND.

Visitation: 1:00PM - 9:00PM, Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at the Eddy Funeral Home.

Prayer Service: 5:00PM, Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at the Eddy Funeral Home.

Burial: Medina Cemetery, Medina, ND.
