Virgina Frederick

July 15, 1920 — February 9, 2021

Virginia Frederick died on February 9, 2021 in Bella Vista, AR. She was born in Jamestown, ND on July 15, 1920, the only child of Charles and Cecelia (Brown) Van Erem, and grew up on a farm at Buchanan, ND, graduating from Buchanan High School in 1938.

She attended Central Dakota Business College in Jamestown and worked for several years at North Dakota Farmers Union and Farmers Union Service Association. She married Donald Frederick in 1943 at Orlando FL, where Don was stationed with the Army Air Force. Following WWII, they returned to Jamestown and eventually purchased the R.E. They were members of The Basilica of St. James Parish, and she was a longtime member of The St. James Tabernacle Society, and a lifetime honorary member of the Immaculate Conception Circle. In 1998, they moved to Lake Havasu, AZ, until 2009 when health issues forced a move to Rogers, AR to be closer to family. Don died in 2013 and Virginia has been in nursing home care since then.

She is survived by two children, Dr. James (Constance) Frederick of Bella Vista, AR, and Claudia (Dale) Wilen of Cheyenne, WY, as well as six grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
