Wade Alan Harr, 39, Stanton, ND died Friday, April 5, 2013 at his home.
Wade was born August 8, 1973 in Medina, ND the son of Curtis and Valery (Hornung) Harr. Wade attended and graduated from Jamestown High School in May 1992. After graduation Wade enlisted in the National Guard on September 9, 1992. He worked in Jamestown until he went to Arizona and completed the Motorcycle Mechanic Institute training. He then returned to Jamestown for a short period of time, until he moved to Ames, IA and worked with his brother, Jason, at Harr's Siding and Windows. He returned to North Dakota in 2000. Wade worked in construction and operating heavy equipment until his deployment to Iraq on June 7, 2007. He served in Iraq until June 27, 2008 when he returned and worked construction with his father. In 2008, he moved to the Riverdale area to work for the City of Pick City and later he began working for the US Army Corps of Engineers, where he was currently employed.
Wade was a fun loving, avid outdoorsman who loved spending time with family and friends. He found himself most "at home" when he was on the water with his boys or finance. When he met Dara, he met the love of his life.
Everything Wade did revolved around his sons. He was passionate about dirt bikes and taught the boys to ride when they were young. He spent time hunting and camping with his brothers and was always up for a motorcycle ride with friends. If he wasn't with friends and family he was always sure to be with his faithful companion, Rainey.
Wade is survived by two sons, Trystan and Morgan Harr, Ypsilanti, ND; parents, Curtis and Valery Harr, Edgeley, ND; two brothers, Jason (Stephanie) Harr, Edwardsburg, MI and Brent (Kayleen) Harr, Jamestown; fiance, Dara Knell, Stanton; nieces & nephew, Nicholas, Katherine & Rebecca Harr and Alyssa & Brooke Harr; grandmothers, Evelyn Harr, Woodworth, ND and Harriet Halvorson, Jamestown; grandfather, Edgar Hornung, Jamestown; and his dog, Rainey.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Leander Harr.
