Wallace J. Ferguson, 74, of Jamestown, North Dakota, died Saturday, February 4, 2006 at Jamestown Hospital, Jamestown.

Wallace J. Ferguson was born December 30, 1931 in Adams, North Dakota the son of Walter and Stacey Ferguson. He grew up and received his education in Adams, graduating from high school there. On March 11,1952 Wallace entered the US Army and served in Europe. Upon his discharge on February 26, 1954 he returned to North Dakota and worked at various jobs. Wallace married Leona Schultes on July 9, 1971 in Sisseton, South Dakota. He retired in 1993 from the Anne Carlsen Center for Children where he worked in maintenance.

Wallace loved the outdoors and feeding the birds. He especially liked baseball and watching the Minnesota Twins.

Wallace is survived by his wife, Leona of Jamestown; a son Dean Ferguson, Jamestown; two step-sons, Scott (Nicole) Purvis, Jamestown and Jody (Jackie) Purvis, Coleman, FL; one granddaughter, five step-grandchildren and one brother, Churchill Ferguson, Jamestown.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.

Funeral Service: 1:30 PM, Tuesday, February 7, 2006 at the Eddy Funeral Chapel with Pastor Steve Berntson officiating.

Visitation: 1:00 to 8:00 PM, Monday, February 6, 2006 at the Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown.

Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown, North Dakota
