Walter Beyer

Walter Beyer, 61, Marion, ND died at his son's home at Marion, ND on Sunday, November 18, 2007.
Walter Dean Beyer was born on November 24, 1945 on the family farm near Montpelier, ND the son of Emil and Goldie V. (Hara) Beyer. He attended Montpelier, ND schools and graduated from Montpelier High School in 1965. Walter joined the U. S. Navy in 1965 and served 2 tours of duty in Vietnam on the USS Ranger, an aircraft carrier. Following his discharge in September, 1969 he moved to Hillsboro Oregon where he was employed as a mechanic with Royal Moore Buick. Walter returned to North Dakota and worked at Gary's Bumper to Bumper in Litchville, ND beginning in 1995, retiring in 2003 due to his ill health.
Survivors include 1 son, Jeffery (Erika), Marion, ND; 2 grandchildren, Megan and Amberly Beyer, both Marion, ND; one daughter, Tina Beyer, Litchville, ND; his wife, Audra Beyer, Hillsboro, OR; 1 brother, Merlyn, Montpelier, ND; 1 sister, Rosemary Wint, Post Falls, Idaho; 2 stepsons, Ricky Torres and Rodney Ferrell, both from Oregon and several step grandchildren. Walter was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m. Friday, November 23, 2007 at Lisko Funeral Chapel, Jamestown, ND.
Visitation: Friday, 9:00 a.m. until service time at 10:30 a.m.
Interment: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown, ND at a later date.
