Walter Holzworth

Walter Holzworth, 79, Woodworth, North Dakota, died Thursday, November 8, 2007 at Golden Acres Manor in Carrington, North Dakota.

Walter was born April 5, 1928 on the family farm near Woodworth, ND, the son of William and Emma (Klooz) Holzworth. He attended school in Paris Township, Stutsman County, North Dakota. Walter entered the US Army on December 4, 1950 in Fargo, ND and served during the Korean conflict. After his discharge in December 1952 , he returned to the family farm where he farmed and ranched all of his life, raising cattle for many years.

Walter is survived by one brother, Harvey (Hazel) Holzworth, Jamestown; two sisters, Leona Lumsden, Jamestown and Inez (Ben) Murphy, Fairfield, CA and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters, Alice Funkhauser, Alma Smith, Edna Grover and Beatrice Theis and two brothers, Edwin and Alvin.

Memorial Service: 10:30 AM, Tuesday, November 13, 2007 at the Eddy Funeral Chapel, Jamestown with Rev. Bryce Tahran officiating.

No visitation is scheduled.

Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown, North Dakota.
