Walter ""Walt"" Clarence Moser, 85, Pettibone, North Dakota, died Saturday, March 29, 2008 at St. Alexius Medical Center in Bismarck, ND.
Walt was born November 6, 1922 in Medina, ND, the son of Karl and Pauline (Schelske) Moser. He enlisted in the US Navy in 1945 and served his country during World War II. Upon his discharge in 1946, he returned to North Dakota and started farming and ranching in the Medina area. On September 23, 1947 Walt married Gertrude Lerew. In 1960 they moved to the Pettibone area where they continued to farm.
Walt had a great love of the outdoors. He would hunt and fish on Round Lake in the winter. He loved his pets and enjoyed his music, especially playing his guitar.
Walt is survived by his wife, Gertrude, of Pettibone; two sons, Ronald Moser (Bev Clemens), Woodworth and Jay (Mary) Moser, Northglenn, CO; one daughter, PJ (Keith) Moser-Kapp, Stanwood, WA; five grandchildren, Stephanie Bauer, Woodinville, WA, Stacy Kapp, Stanwood, WA, Cody Waliser, Fargo, ND, Markita Schafer, Bismarck, ND and Kayne Moser, Mandan, ND; three great-grandchildren, Corey and Kaisha Bauer, Woodinville, WA and Avrianna Schafer, Bismarck, ND; five step-grandchildren, Rachel Walker, Chris Frieling, Hannah Frieling, John & Tim Clemens; and four sisters, Sally Pfahl, Hanford, CA, Alice (Pat) Wagner, Fargo, ND, Delores Mason, Los Angeles, CA and Lillian Dronen, Fargo, ND.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Wilbert and Donald.
Funeral Service: 1:00 PM, Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at the Eddy Funeral Chapel, Jamestown, with Pastor Bryce Tahran officiating.
Visitation: 1:00 to 7:00 PM, Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at the Eddy Funeral Home.
Prayer Service: 7:00 PM, Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at the Eddy Funeral Chapel.
Burial: Medina Cemetery, Medina, North Dakota.
