Wanda Leonard

Wanda Leonard, 93, Jamestown, North Dakota died Monday, April 18, 2011 at Jamestown Hospital.

Wanda Berginski was born November 24, 1917 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the daughter of Kostek and Nettie (Klusak) Berginski. She grew up in Towner County, near Rock Lake, ND and attended rural schools. On October 26, 1940 Wanda married Lloyd W. Leonard in Rolla, ND. They lived in Saint John and Hannah, ND, before moving to Jamestown in 1956. Lloyd died in 1987, and Wanda continued to make her home in Jamestown.

Wanda was a member of the Basilica of St. James, Jamestown. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, gardening and tending her flowers.

Wanda is survived by her five daughters, Marjorie Karn, Jamestown, Lorraine (Gary) Crouse, Fargo, ND, Colleen Leonard and Kathy (Gene) Redmann, both of Jamestown, and Lori (Andrew) Joos, Wimbledon, ND; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Mary Albertson, Jenny Haas and Helen Leonard, all of Saint John, ND.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son; two brothers; five sisters; one great-grandson and one son-in-law, Donald Karn.
