Warren Larson, 80, Jamestown, North Dakota died Tuesday, April 20, 2004 at Jamestown Hospital, Jamestown.

Warren Robert Larson was born October 19, 1923 in Mandan, North Dakota the son of Agaton and Anna Marie (Isakson) Larson. Warren grew up in Mandan and graduated from Mandan High School. He joined the U.S. Navy on September 6, 1943 and served his country during World War II as a signalman on the submarine U.S.S. Orion. On August 2, 1947 he married Mildred Lohstreter in Bismarck, ND. Warren worked as a brakeman/conductor for Burlington Northern Railroad.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, the Elks (B.P.O.E.) and Eagles, all of Jamestown.

Warren enjoyed operating his ham radio and held an expert license, the highest license available to radio operators. He was known as the ""Tin Man"" to all his ham radio buddies (KOTIN).

Warren is survived by his two daughters, Lori (David) Lathrop, Charlotte, NC and Gail Erickson, Duluth, MN, one grandson, Matthew Erickson and one sister, Alice Eckroth, Ellendale, ND.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, three brothers and three sisters.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Jamestown Hospital, Warren R. Larson Fund.

Funeral Service: 10:30 AM, Friday, April 23, 2004 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Jamestown with Rev. David Eppelsheimer officiating.

Visitation: 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Thursday, April 22, 2004 at Eddy Funeral Home.

Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown, North Dakota.
