Wesley J. Olson

Wesley J. Olson, 74, Jamestown, ND passed away Monday, April 17, 2017 at his home under hospice care.

Wesley was born July 5, 1942 in Maddock, ND to Lloyd and Ardis (Nelson) Olson. He attended school in Maddock, ND. Wesley entered the U.S. Army on October 26, 1959 and was honorably discharged on October 5, 1962. Wesley’s highest rank was PFC/E-3. After serving in the Army he moved to Medina, ND. In June of 1993 he married Deborah Sue Hosking in the Black Hills, SD. He worked as an independent truck driver and was also employed with Altendorf Trucking, East-West Motor Express and H & M Trucking. Wesley’s hobbies included fishing, car buying and tinkering.

Wesley is survived by his wife Deb Olson; seven children Denise Olson, Laura Olson, J.W. Olson, Jim Brewer, Amy (Blake) Caffee, Amber Kramlich, Bridgett Brewer; 10 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; two sisters LaVay Olson and LuAnn Indergaard. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Norris and Kerley.

A memorial service will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, April 22 at First Baptist Church, Jamestown, ND with Pastor Wayne Bangs, officiating. Burial will be in ND Veterans Cemetery.
