Wesley G. Ost

Wesley G. Ost, 75, Jamestown, North Dakota died Thursday, October 21, 2004 at his home in Jamestown.

Wesley was born June 22, 1929 in Fredonia, North Dakota the son of Oscar, Sr. and Pauline (Becker) Ost. He grew up and received his education in Fredonia. Wesley entered the United State Marine Corp. on November 15, 1951 Barstow, CA. He served three years in the active reserve and three years in the inactive reserve, being discharged on November 14, 1959. Wesley married Betty Batsch on June 12, 1968 in Jamestown, ND. They lived in Jamestown where he worked for the Jamestown Park & Recreation Department for 33 years as the golf course superintendent.

Wesley was a memebr of the First Congregational-United Church of Christ, Eagles, D.A.V., American Legion, of Jamestown.

He is survived by his wife, Betty of Jamestown; three daughters, Melany Hoque of Barstow, CA, Pam Miles of Bremerton, WA, and Lyndon Glover of Fountain Valley, CA; three grandchildren; three brothers, Donald (Irene) Ost of Norwich, ND, Willis (Arlene) Ost of Jamestown, ND, and Jimmy (Rita) Ost of Ashley, ND.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Service: 11:00AM, Monday, October 25, 2004 at the First Congregational - United Church of Christ, Jamestown with Rev. Terri Akkerman officiating.

Visitation: Sunday, October 24, 2004 from 1:00PM to 8:00PM at the Eddy Funeral Home.

Prayer Service: 7:30PM, Sunday, October 24, 2004 at the Eddy Funeral Home.

Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown.
