Wilbert Pahl

Wilbert Pahl, 78, Edgeley, ND, formerly of Forbes, ND, died Friday, December 29, 2006 at Jamestown Hospital, Jamestown, ND.
Wilbert Pahl was born August 3, 1928 on the family farm at Forbes, ND, the son of John F. and Olga (Bertsch) Pahl. He was raised on the farm and attended the rural school. Following his education, he farmed with his parents and worked for the Dickey County Highway Department as a heavy equipment operator. Later, Wilbert worked in construction. On November 19, 1950, he married Arlene LaVonne Rall at Forbes, ND. In 1971, Wilbert began working for the Soo Line Railroad where he continued to work until his retirement in 1988. Arlene died on September 15, 1979.
Wilbert was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church in Edgeley, the Edgeley Rodeo Club, and the Maud Evans Saddle Club. Wilbert enjoyed dancing and horses and was in involved in rodeos and horse shows.
Survivors include 11 children: Larry (Beth) Pahl, Sioux Falls, SD; Kathy (David) Siddons, Centennial, CO; Jonathan (Nancy) Pahl, Edgeley, ND; David Pahl, Edgeley, ND; Danny Pahl, Edgeley, ND; Julie Pahl, The Colony, TX; Lisa Taylor, Seattle, WA; Rebecca (Claudio) Lopez, Estero, FL; JoAnn Taylor, Bonita Springs, FL; Jody Pahl, Nortonville, ND; Jara (Jason Dunn) Musgrove, Alexandria, VA; 22 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; a sister, Janice Bertsch, Oakes, ND and a brother, Clifford Pahl, Ellendale, ND.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and 3 sisters: Ruth, Vivian, and Lorraine.
Funeral - 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 3, 2007 at Wesley United Methodist Church, Edgeley, ND with Reverend Ken Ballard officiating.
Prayer Service - 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 2, 2007 at Lisko Funeral Chapel, Edgeley, ND
Visitation - 10:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 2, 2007 at Lisko Funeral Chapel, Edgeley, ND and 1 hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday
Interment - Mount Hope Cemetery, Edgeley, ND
