William Gilman

William Gilman, 88, Jamestown, ND passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at Sanford Hospital, Fargo, ND.

William was born on April 4, 1934 in Hazelton, ND to William and Vera (Cowles) Gilman.  He lost his mother in 1939 and was raised by his grandmother Pearl Cowles.

William moved to Jamestown in 1959, he worked for Scherbenske Excavating until his retirement in 2007.  He married the love of his life Vivian Scheuffele, they were married for 53 years.  William enjoyed working in his yard and in his shop.

He is survived by his wife Vivian; brother-in-law Harry Scheuffele and many nieces, nephews and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and two brothers Jay and Gene.

Funeral service will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown, ND with Pastor Bryce Tahran officiating.  Visitation will be one hour before the service.  Interment will be in Highland Home Cemetery.
