William Grewatz

William Martin Grewatz, 69, of Jamestown, ND passed away peacefully in his home at the James House on Tuesday, August 30, 2016. He was born to Harry and Elvera (Niederbaumer) Grewatz on August 29, 1947 in Edgeley, ND.

Bill grew up and graduated from high school in Jamestown. He then went to North Dakota State School of Science receiving a degree in radio and TV repair. He worked and lived in Aurora, CO and Minneapolis, MN before returning to Jamestown. He then worked at a local TV repair shop. For many years he mowed yards, lots, and cemeteries in and around the Jamestown area. In 1995 he was employed at Levers grocery until their closing in 1999. In 2005, Bill was employed with Alpha Opportunities until 2015.

His favorite pass time was playing his video games. He enjoyed playing chess and pool, being involved in pool leagues at the Hitching Post Bar. He also enjoyed telling stories and jokes. Bill had an infectious laugh and smile that will always be with us.
Bill is survived by his sister, Nancie Grewatz, Helena MT, her 2 daughters; Teresa “Tess” (Jim Hauso) Grewatz, Miles City, Amanda Grewatz, Helena; Amanda’s boys; Coday Nicholas Alan Boone and Jaydin Martin William Grewatz; Tess’s daughter, Kimberly (Dale McAuley) Feigert and her girls; Haley and Justa, Helena; Great Aunt, Maddie Brandt, Jamestown, and other cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Harry and Elvera Grewatz, Nephew; Jusdes Gelina, great neice; Cierra Mauley, and other aunts and uncles.

Memorial Service: 1:00 p.m., Monday, September 26, 2016 at Williams Funeral Home, Jamestown with a reception to follow at the KC Hall.

Inurnment: Mt. Hope Cemetery, Edgeley, after the reception.
