William Frank Staloch

William Frank Staloch, 97, of Jamestown, ND, died August 29, 2020 at the home of his granddaughter, Tracy and her husband, Dale Fettig.
William was born October 23, 1922 at Jamestown, ND, the son of Frank William Staloch and Mary Minnie (Schultz) Staloch.
He married Catherine Jean Rosemore on February 22, 1943, in Windsor, ND. They purchased the Staloch family farm from his parents where they farmed until 1986. He continued to help on the farm harvesting wheat and soybeans until he was 88 years old. Bill worked winters at the ND State Hospital for many years, retiring in 1988. He drove school bus for Windsor School for many years and he enjoyed flying his Champ plane, hunting and boating.
He was a member of the St. Mathias Catholic Church, the Eagles Club and served on the Windsor Township board.
He was the family funny man, he always had a smile, a joke or a quick come back. He had a love for animals and would often watch the grandkids’ pets, through sometimes the kids wouldn’t get their pets back (FiFi the poodle and Sampson the bulldog).
In his later years his jobs included driving to the farm for a quick visit, attending bible study, playing cards with friends and bingo at the VFW.
William is survived by his daughter-in-law, Joyce Staloch, Windsor; three grandchildren, Tracy (Dale) Fettig, Jamestown, Craig (Jackie) Staloch, Windsor, Corey (Bonnie) Staloch, Jamestown; nine great-grandchildren, Jessica (Brandon) Wegenast, Ryan Fettig, Justin (Tiffany) Staloch, Will Staloch, Wyatt Staloch, Samantha Staloch, Chelsey Staloch, Dylan Staloch, and Logan Staloch; six great great-grandchildren; sisters, Cecilia Ferguson (102 years old), Amarillo, TX and Victoria Paradis (100 years old), Charlotte, NC, and Marcella Frise (95 years old), Strawberry, AZ.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Mary; wife, Catherine; son, Gary; brothers, Herb and James Staloch; sister, Evelyn Reardon; and special friend, Eileen Larson.
Mass of Christian Burial: 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 4, 2020 at St. Mathias Catholic Church, Windsor, ND.
Visitation: One hour before the Mass at the church.
Burial: St. Pauline Cemetery, Windsor, ND.
