Winnifred Sahr

Winnifred Sahr, 85, Jamestown, North Dakota died Saturday, December 25, 2010 at Jamestown Hospital.

Winnifred Kiltie was born November 23, 1925 in Deer River, MN, the daughter of James and Anna (Banke) Kiltie. She grew up and attended school in Deer River, graduating from Deer River High School in 1943. She moved with her family to Bremerton, WA and worked in the shipyards for a year. She moved to Jamestown and was employed at the North Dakota State Hospital until 1946. On September 21, 1946, Winnifred married Raymond Sahr. She lived in Jamestown until her passing.

Winnifred enjoyed watching movies, fishing and loved her pets.

Winnifred is survived by one son, Gary (Sandra) Sahr, two daughters, Connie (Larry) Hakanson and Dixie (Wendell) Janke, all of Jamestown; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and one infant brother.

Funeral Service: 11:00 AM, Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Jamestown, with Pastor Wade Miller officiating.

Visitation: 1:00 to 6:00 PM, Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at the Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown.

Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown, North Dakota.
