Perry Kehl, 56, Spiritwood Lake, ND, died Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at MeritCare Hospital, Fargo, ND after a brave battle with cancer.
Perry was born January 20, 1953 in Jamestown, the son of Edward and Florence (Remmick) Kehl. He grew up and received his education in Jamestown, graduating from Jamestown High School in 1971. He attended and graduated from North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton. He was a master electrician employed at Dakota Pasta Growers in Carrington, ND.
Perry was an avid bowler and softball player. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, his dogs, and building his dream home at Spiritwood Lake. He also liked playing pinochle and watching the Minnesota Twins and Vikings. He was a member of the Jamestown Eagles.
Perry is survived by his wife, Connie, of Spiritwood Lake; daughter, Tori (Steve) Hockert, Wahpeton, ND; two sons, Erik (Lindsay) Kehl, Panama City, Panama and Shane Kehl, Fargo, ND; two step-daughters, Crystal (Chris) Orman and Kelly (Neil) Qualey, both of Fargo; two grandchildren, Caden and Carter Hockert, Wahpeton; two step-grandchildren, Cameron and Claire Qualey, Fargo; sister, Bonnie (Mel) Sund, Cedar Rapids, IA; mother-in-law, Mae Sheets and sister-in-law, Mary (Tom) Carr, both of Carrington; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Florence Kehl; brother, Robbie; sister, Donna Furl; step-daughter, Kerri Schulz; and father-in-law, Jack Sheets.
Funeral Service: 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 5, 2009 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Jamestown, with Pastor Ruth Kaden officiating.
Visitation: 1:00 to 7:00 PM, Friday, September 4, 2009 at the Eddy Funeral Home in Jamestown, ND.
Prayer Service: 7:00 PM, Friday, September 4, 2009 at the Eddy Funeral Chapel.
Burial: Carrington Cemetery, Carrington, North Dakota
