Rodney Messer, 68, Jamestown, ND passed away Friday, July 21, 2017 at Vibra Hospital, Fargo, ND.
Rodney Messer was born March 16, 1949 in Griggs County, the son of Monroe and Evelyn (Anderson) Messer. He went to Hannaford until he graduated. Rodney entered the U.S. Army on March 3, 1970. On March 6, 1971 he married Sandra (Kreutsberg) Messer. They lived in Jamestown. They had two children Jodi and Trent Messer, both of Jamestown; one grandchild Kassandra, daughter of Jodi.
Rodney worked for Wedgecor for 45 years. His hobbies included spending time with family and friends. Rodney enjoyed fishing, camping, riding motorcycle and playing games with family.
He is survived by his brothers, Maynard (Charlene) Messer, Hannaford, ND, Romaine (Pat) Messer, Mt. Pleasant, IA, Rallon (Carol) Messer, Mt. Pleasant, IA; sisters Joyce (John) McCarthy, Fargo, ND, Carolyn (Philip) Gage, Gardner, ND, Nita (Arden) Saxberg, Cooperstown, ND and special friend, Bernice Stelter. Rodney was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters-in-law, Pat Messer and Carol Messer; brothers Marvin & Lyle Messer, sisters Bernice Baker and Connie Messer, wife Sandra Messer and two brother-in-laws, John and Boyd.
Prayer Service; 7:00 PM, Thursday, July 27, 2017 at Eddy Funeral Home.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, July 28, 2017 at First Assembly of God Church, Jamestown, ND. Burial will be in Highland Home Cemetery.
